Acupuncture: Is it Right for Your Pet?

Does your pet suffer from any inflammation or pain? Do they have trouble moving around due to arthritis, back pain or something more severe such as neurologic disorders? If this is the case, you might want to think about setting up a visit for acupuncture treatments. Buffalo Ridge is lucky enough to have two veterinarians who are certified to perform acupuncture procedures, Dr. Vernon and Dr. Caruana. Acupuncture can be used for a variety of different conditions.

Dr. Vernon said, "Most animals are very responsive to the treatments and they don't suffer from any discomforts what so ever. Most animals love all the attention they get while we are administering the treatment." Dr. Vernon recommends you commit to at least three treatments if you decide to do acupuncture. She said some animals have an immediate response to the acupuncture while others take longer for a response, especially if they have chronic pain problems. If you are interested in acupuncture for your pet, be sure to contact the office for more information!
